Progressive die stamping is one of the methods of the metal stamping process where, through stamping press strokes, a flat strip from a steel coil is transformed into complex parts. The flat strips, via an automatic feeding system, pass through a series of stations within a single tool called a progressive die. Each station performs a specific operation, such as blanking, chamfering, piercing, bending, rounding, or even deep drawing, progressively shaping the metal into the desired shape or forming the required feature.

Kickoff & Review Meeting
Once receiving the formal PO, HT project manager will organize a meeting with engineering department, tooling department and quality control department will have a meeting to review customer requirements, special characteristics and history record to optimize the tool design and discuss how to guarantee the critical dimensions, and how to shorten the delivery time and save the cost, meanwhile guarantee high quality of the tools in detailed ways, make the manufacture schedule.
Design Validation & Machining
Project manager submit the CAE analysis / 3D strip layout / 3D tool design to customers and communicate technical issues with customers. As soon as get approval from customer, HT Tool will start to order the material and start to machine. In the tool process, a weekly report with pictures will be sent to our customer on each Monday to help customers track up the project closely.
Tooling Tryout & Debugging
After the 1st tryout of progressive die, we will provide 5 to 10 FOT samples for customer's approval, and 6pcs CMM dimensional report will be provided within 3 working days.
Final Buyoff & Shipping
Before shipping the progressive die and stamping, we have strict Inspection in dimension and specification. We will run all tools for 300pcs parts, and progressive tools run automatically by coil feeder to resolve the potential problem while the tool will be in mass production. Tool package will be arranged together with one completed strip, 5pcs final parts, and some spare parts requested, Steel Material Guarantee, Hardness Report, and User Manual to customer for reference.
