The definition of Checking Fixture

 

A Auto checking fixture is a simple tool used by industrial production enterprises to control various dimensions of products (e.g. aperture, spatial dimensions, etc.), to improve production efficiency and control quality, and is suitable for mass-produced products, such as automotive parts, to replace professional measuring tools, such as smooth plug gauges, thread plug gauges, and O.D. gages.

The base material of Auto Checking fixture

 

HT checking fixture are using standard and high quality base material for each of our checking fixtures so that will keep service life of checking fixtures.

Aluminum Bases that are more than 18" x 18" require a welded aluminum base, with 4 corner pads

Minimum, for stability. The height of the base is to be no more than 6" and no less than 4" in height,

and is to be normalized before use. Extra support pads may be required for longer bases.

Holding Fixtures: Structural steel tubing (welded and stress relieved) is to be used to construct the

holding fixture structure. Gussets or cross tubing must be incorporated to reinforce the main structure

Operation sequence of Checking fixture&gauges

 

Here are the procedures of auto checking fixtures:

  1. Visual inspection to check part sharp edges ,cracks and burrs.
  2. Using GO and NOGO pins to check the size of holes.
  3. Make the parts is good to touch with the datum pin netpad and magnet
  4. Adjusting the part keep it well contact nets and lacat it with X/Y1/Z1 and Y2/Z2.
  5. Close clamp Z1,Z2,Z3.
  6. Using the P1 pins to check the hole position.
  7. Using the feeler and trim gauge to check the trim and surface as the color points.
  8.  Visually detect the edge of the material, it is qualified within +/-1.5 lines, and vice versa.
  9. Recording results on the inspection sheet.
  10. Unclamping and removing part.

Remark:The checking fixture/gauges must be under a dustless environment with stable temperature and humidity when they are used to examine the product.
